Hi. I just received from my brother our father's collection of 8mm film reels (about 18 pounds worth), which he shot between the early 1940's and mid 1980's -- most are in color, some b/w. These were transferred to VHS about 15 years ago, and I later transferred all the footage to digital for use in my various family history video projects. Dad spliced many into 7" reels but hadn't gotten around to the rest, so there are quite a few small reels as well.
I'm interested in having them transferred directly to digital (DVD). Since I will happily do all the editing, I only want the raw footage -- no music, no thumb nails, no titles.
The better film (actually some of the oldest) could merely be cleaned and transferred, but the poorer film could benefit from color restoration. While I can do that to some degree in Final Cut, I assume that direct restoration of the film itself prior to digitization would be superior; however, I'd need to consider the cost.
Since you're located in Minneapolis, my plan would be to bring over to your studio one or two large reels at a time as my budget allows.

Great website you have. I will be sending you 13 rolls tomorrow of 50 feet each of some super 8 footage I filmed about thirty years ago. I will be so glad to share it with family members via dvd and digital format. Your phone reps made me feel comfortable and were very knowlegable in the conversion field.

I received my super 8 film back along with the digital conversion to DVD and I am one happy customer. The quality of your conversion from super 8 to DVD was amazing, no flicker or flash and the color was true and correct. Thank You for your investment in the highest quality equipment available to do film conversion.

I have several VHS tapes and want them to transfered to a cd. A lot of spaces on the tapes is this a problem? Curios on the cost.

We have 12 VHS tapes that we would like to have put on a DVD. Some of the tapes have very little on them and there some bad not clear spots on the tapes that would need to be editted. Do you do editting? About how much would this cost.

Hello! Do you do c-41 and or black and white film processing and proofs as well? Thank you

We have home movies that are of inconsistent quality. Do you copy and give to us for editing, or do you edit? - is that what you mean by custom edit to goals?
