MN Historical Society Partnership

Saving Tape Media Conversion has been utilized by the media curation team at the Minnesota Historical Society to digitize a large archive of historical 16mm film footage. The footage ranges in subject matter from rare footage of logging practices in the early 20th century, to a collection of films related to the Minnesota State Fair.

These HD digital film transfers will be utilized in future exhibits which are currently in development. Both Minneapolis, St. Paul and communities all over the state value the Minnesota Historical Society as the premiere curator of media related to our state’s history. Their media collection includes photographs, audio tapes, 16mm film, 8mm film and Super 8 film and much more.
